2. Maintaining logbooks

Drivers should always maintain accurate logbooks for compliance with state and federal regulations. These records mainly include the date, company name, truck number, and the total distance travelled in 24hrs.

It also includes the starting time for the 24hr period the starting point location and the destination location and also the name of the co-driver.

Maintaining a logbook can be difficult at first but it will get easier with practice. Every driver should complete their logs at end of the day

 

3. Inspections

The most important duty that truck drivers should perform during their timing is inspections. They have to inspect their vehicles before and after deliveries. The inspections like tire wipers, hose connections, and some other crucial components.
